When the Chalet Slides: Bringing Our Ecological Legacies to the Stage

What becomes of Swiss culture when the landscape that shaped it is transformed? Centered around *Glissements*, an upcoming play by Antoine Jaccoud directed by Matthias Urban, the Cie générale de théâtre invites you behind the scenes of a collaboration between artists and researchers. In this dramaturgy workshop, the iconic image of the Swiss chalet serves as a starting point to humorously explore our attachments and family legacies in the face of climate change. By creating short skits together—which will later be performed by professional actors—you’ll explore how playwriting can help tell the story of and reinvent a culture facing a changing world. We’ll have a great time at the chalet.
