From disaster blockbusters to more contemplative environmental films, cinema that deals with nature and its disruptions oscillates between anxiety-inducing spectacle and utopian worlds. Can we, then, propose another path—that of humor—to reclaim the realm of fiction in cinema and laugh at serious topics?

To do just that, come learn the basics of comedic film dubbing! Led by the Alliance Créative theater company, which specializes in improvisation and dubbing, this workshop invites you to reinvent dialogues, stories, and intonations to explore—through the lens of humor—our collective relationship to ecological imaginaries. Combining stylistic exercises, voice work, and group improvisation, this workshop explores how laughter can become a tool for maintaining a critical distance from images of impending disaster.
